The Literary Contest X Esteban Manuel de Villegas already have winners in all categories, although the formal act awards will be delayed until 16 May.
The event, which happens to be one of the oldest in La Rioja, is organized by the institute named in Nájera and on this occasion, the jury acted as town councilors, García Rosa and Julio Piñero González Nájera , on behalf of the cultural milieu of the city, the scholar José Luis Sáez Lerena, and by the Institute Pinzolas Lidia Morales and José María Hernández Soto, who served as secretary.
As for the awards, have remained the two categories of youth and adults and, within them, the poetry and the short story. In the first group, the first prize for poetry, worth 400 euros, has been to Final Cadence, Mahavir Elena Ayala, student of Philology, University of La Rioja, and the second, worth $ 200, for war is mine, Tamara Martínez Warriors 2 student Bachillerato IES DŽElhuyar Brothers, Logroño.
In short story, first prize, awarded $ 400, is for Maria Gomez Dominguez, a student of 1 Bachillerato IES Duques de Najera, of Logroño, for his work The dream that changed my life. The second, worth $ 200, is for Andrea Garcia Ceniceros, a student of 1 Bachillerato IES Najera Villegas, from letters to a goodbye.
On the adult form, the only prize in the section on poetry, winner of 1,000 euros was granted to María Lourdes Cacho Escudero, Naldi, author of infinite time. The short narrative, a prize of 1,000 euros, went to work under Memoirs of Desiderio Hardware Morga.
In this issue, 47 papers have participated, of which 11 corresponded to the mode and 36 to young adult. Prizes will be awarded at a ceremony officer on the morning of May 16 and all winning entries will form a book to be launched on World Book Day 2010.
